Description
This popular after-school program runs on Term 1 and 4 each year, for 6 weeks.
Starting November 2024.
This program is designed to give the kids a chance to let loose after school.
Join us in the ocean, catching waves in complete safety, improving your surfing and ocean skills.
The main focus is to build confidence in the surf regardless of surfing ability. Students will develop an understanding of the ocean in a safe environment.
The program covers topics such as surf awareness, surf conditions, fitness, identifying rips, timing of catching waves and reading the surf.

Waihi Beach Surf School container, located next to the changing rooms at Waihi Beach Main End.
What to Bring
Sunblock, togs and towel. We provide surfboard and wetsuit (bring your own if you prefer)
